9057miles ; L.A. , HOLLYWOOD.

Los Angeles last stop, next year in May I’ll drive true Mexico to Brazil.
9057 miles (14491km) was enough for now , 452 gallon (1710 L) of diesel , that makes +/- 20 miles/gallon or 12L/100km, pretty good for a big truck with an 8 cylinder 6,5L engine.
Tomorrow back to Brazil , see you back next year.

USS. NIMITZ MUSEUM, SAN DIEGO.

The museum is mounted in an aircraft carrier ship used until 1990 ,very interesting to see the how such a big ship works.

8690 miles ; SAN DIEGO.

San Diego , a rich city on the pore Mexican border ,behind the big wall that separates Mexico and the USA , you see the big difference .

JUNE 25 ; GRAND CANYON ,ARIZONA.

Welcome in the biggest hole of the World , it is impressive how big it is, 1850m deep , 200km long.

Las Vegas bi night , beautiful , its one of the places that a man has to see in lifetime , casinos full of people playing big money , it don’t appear like a country in economic crisis.

JUNE 22 ;BIG SUR NATIONAL PARK

Driving from San Francisco to L.A. bi the coast-way , I passed the Big Sur national park.
Afterwards I found a storage place to leave mi car next Wednesday near L.A. because I am traveling back to Brazil on July 1 .

7105 miles , SAN FRANCISCO

After passing the Redwood state park and the state of Oregon ,I drove in to California and San Francisco.

JUNE 19 ; SEATTLE ; FLIGHT MUSEUM

Back in the USA , passing by Seattle Washington , I stopped in the national flight museum , big ,almost spend the day there and I didn’t see everything , but it was an interesting day.

JUNE 15 + 16 ; KETCHICAN ALASKA

Beautiful but cold Alaska , I thought that Buzios had lots of tourists , Alaska has more , 4 of the biggest tour ships where there with European and American tourists . Ketchican is the first city of Alaska 100miles from Canada and only connected by ferry.
I want go further in to Alaska because of the cold and the big distances.

5067 miles ;PACIFIC OCEAN.

Port Rupert is nice little city on the Alaskian border, famous for the salmon fishing.
It is very cold here and it is raining, I am not so lucky with the weather, tomorrow I am going to Alaska , see how cold it is there.

JUNE 13 ;LAKE LOUISE

Lake Loise , famous for the deep blue water is in the Canada Rocky mountains ,only 200 miles of highway that crosses the National Park , just see the photos ( more photos).
Yes , the distances are big here in Canada ,you can drive hundreds of miles seeing nothing more then trees and mountains, a very big country whit very few people in it.

JUNE 11 ;YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK

If you won’t to see Yellowstone go there , because it is a big volcano that can explode every moment ,that they explain to you in the welcome center .
It is beautiful , the wildlife , the 1000 geysers, the canyons , the different views etc..

GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK

Bad luck with the weather , cold and raining , but I did part of the park and saw bison , deer and a black bear.

3304 miles ;WELCOME IN YELLOWSTONE

After a full day drive coming in to Jackson , town near Yellowstone, at 21h and see the view on the photo .

JUNE 8 + 9 ,ROCKY MOUNTAINS , COLORADO

After a good night sleep , up to the Rocky Mountains , first the beautiful views on the road to Aspen , famous winter sport city up in the mountains. Afterwards from there to the Rocky Mountains National Park , a big area of mountains , a lot of snow and every mile an other view.

2371 miles , COLORADO SPRINGS.

Driving in to the Rocky Mountains the climate changes , at daytime its hot but it cools off at night, far better ,so I slept very well in the truck last night .
Nice country Colorado ,nice people , tourist friendly and the mountain views are spectacular.
Colorado springs is a nice city on the foot of the rocky mountains , you can even see the snow on top of the mountains from here . I have got a very nice hotel , Sleep Inn Hotel,for 45u$ only, good he.
The truck is running better every day , so tomorrow I am going for a trip in the mountains and states parks.

JUNE 5 +6 ; DALLAS TEXAS

Too hot in Texas , over 100 dgr F, only good to drive with the airco on maximum, that is what I did .
A short trip to downtown Dallas on Sunday morning, impressive buildings .
and then through the big fields , crossing Texas and New Mexico .Not much to see ,I drove some 800 miles.
I hope that I find some fresh air up in the Nord , the south of USA is too hot for me.

823 MILES ; NEW ORLEANS

After crossing 4 States , Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, driving in to New Orleans. Big city on the border of the Mississippi river with lots of bars and nice restaurants.
Driving to the coast , lots of helicopters and ships , trying to resolve the oil leek problem , with all kinds of TV reporters on line speaking.

PENSACOLA

The last city of Florida ,before the state Alabama, is a nice place with a lot of historic houses in good condition . The beaches are on an dune island along the coast with houses build on poles , must be that the water comes up a lot.
Here it is very hot , the seawater is warm and not refreshing , they say that they already find oil balls next 10 miles from here .

JUNE 1 ,FLORIDA

After some repairs on the truck, tires and bal-joints ,back on the road to the north of Florida .
I had a first night sleeping in the car on the highway10 from Evon Park to Pensacola , not a very good sleep , lot of noise in the gas station where I stood.

GULF OF MEXICO

Yesterday we drove to the Florida West Coast to see the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico before it gets durty , with the BP oil leek, witch until now is not stopped.
We went to the Fishermans village of Punta Gorda ,very nice restaurant with sea view.
Good beaches , warm water, good food , what you need more?

AVON PARK ; FLORIDA.

Visiting friends in EVON PARK , BOB and GREG , nice little town in the middle of florida , good food and lots of beers.

MAI 27 , ORLANDO .

After a bad American Airlines flight , mi first day in the USA ,i stopped in the LA QUINTA AIRPORT WEST ,very good hotel with a big swimming pool ,for only 55,00U$,with airport shuttle, well done www.hotel.com.
First thing in the morning ,get mi plate back in the Orlando TAG office, paid 99U$ of tax , I thought it would be more , ok , 10 min and i had a new plate and registration, just like in Brazil, ha, ha, ha.
Nervous to see the car , I took the bus to Apopka storage. Got in there , switched on the battery , put the keys in , heated up 1 minute , and it came on right away, good car he, changed the oil right away and driving.
